Dispatch, Delivery & Shipping Information

Everything you need to know about build times, dispatch, UK delivery, international shipping, missed deliveries, customs charges, and address issues when ordering from X-Mods.

Most controllers are built and dispatched within 2-7 working days. Delivery times depend on the service selected, courier performance, customs, and busy periods.

UK ORDERS

UK Dispatch & Delivery

Build & Dispatch Time

Our standard build time is usually 2-7 working days from the date of your order.

We build controllers to order, so dispatch can sometimes take longer during busy periods or when specific parts need to be sourced for your build.

  • Working days are Monday to Friday
  • Weekends and bank holidays are not counted as build days
  • Custom builds may take longer if parts are unavailable
  • Busy periods can increase turnaround times

UK Delivery

Our chosen courier for mainland UK orders is Royal Mail.

Standard UK delivery is free when spending over £100. Depending on the options available at checkout, you may also be able to upgrade your delivery service.

Time-sensitive orders

If your order is needed for a birthday, event, holiday, or Christmas, please contact us before ordering. We will always give honest advice, but we cannot guarantee courier delivery dates.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

International Shipping

Worldwide Dispatch

International orders are usually built and dispatched within 2-7 working days.

We ship parcels worldwide using tracked services. Tracking details will be sent once your order has been dispatched.

Customs, Import Tax & Fees

International orders may be subject to import tax, VAT, customs duties, handling fees, or other charges before delivery can be completed.

These charges are set by your country’s government or local delivery provider. They are not set by X-Mods, and we do not know the final cost before shipping.

International delivery note

International delivery times are aims only. Customs checks, local couriers, national holidays, and failed delivery attempts can all affect the final delivery date.

BUSY PERIODS

Christmas, Bank Holidays, Sales & Courier Delays

Increased Dispatch Times

During busy periods, dispatch times may increase. This can happen around Christmas, bank holidays, sales, large promotions, and periods of high order volume.

If your order is urgent, contact us before placing the order so we can advise based on the current workload.

Christmas Delivery

We release recommended Christmas order cut-off dates during November or December each year.

We will continue shipping orders as close to Christmas as possible, but orders placed after the recommended cut-off date are placed at the customer’s own risk.

Courier delays are outside our control

Once an order has been dispatched, the parcel is in the courier network. We cannot guarantee delivery dates where delays are caused by Royal Mail, international couriers, strikes, customs, weather, or seasonal demand.

ADDRESS RESTRICTIONS

PO Boxes, Military Bases & Restricted Access Sites

PO Boxes

We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes within the UK or internationally.

Our couriers require a physical delivery address so parcels can be delivered correctly and tracked properly.

Military Bases & Restricted Access

We may be able to deliver to military bases where there is a dedicated mail room and the address is not operating as a PO Box.

If your delivery address has restricted access or special delivery instructions, please contact us before ordering or email af*******@*******co.uk after placing your order.

INCORRECT ADDRESS

Incorrect Shipping Address

Before Dispatch

Customers are responsible for entering the correct shipping address when placing an order.

If you notice an address mistake, email af*******@*******co.uk as soon as possible. If the order has not yet been dispatched, we may be able to update the address.

After Dispatch

Once an order has been dispatched, it is in the control of the courier.

Refunds or replacements will not be issued where a customer has provided an incorrect delivery address. X-Mods is also not responsible for locating parcels sent to an incorrectly supplied address.

Returned due to incorrect address

If a parcel is returned to us because of an incorrect address, there may be a charge to send it again. This can include a £10 administration fee plus the current shipping cost shown at checkout.

MISSED DELIVERIES

Missed Deliveries & Returned Parcels

UK Missed Deliveries

If Royal Mail tries to deliver and you are not in, or if the parcel is refused, it will usually be taken to your local delivery office or handled through Royal Mail’s redelivery process.

You can arrange redelivery directly with Royal Mail using the link below.

Returned UK Parcels

If you do not collect your parcel within Royal Mail’s time frame, it may be returned to us.

If this happens and you still require the item, additional postage will need to be paid before we can dispatch it again.

Refunds after failed delivery

If a parcel is returned to us and a refund is issued, deductions may apply for postage costs, dispatch costs, restocking fees, and any other charges covered in our returns policy.

INTERNATIONAL MISSED DELIVERIES

Failed International Delivery Attempts

Redelivery Attempts

For international deliveries, redelivery options will usually be handled by the local courier in your country.

You should use the tracking information provided after dispatch to follow your parcel and arrange redelivery where available.

Returned International Parcels

If an international parcel is returned due to failed delivery attempts, non-collection, unpaid customs charges, or refusal, the customer will need to pay for re-delivery if the item is still required.

Re-delivery charges may include shipping costs and a £10 administration fee.
